RSS support is finally here!

Yup, now this blog has a RSS feed! You can add it to Pale Moon/Basilisk directly, or to Firefox using the Brief extension! (there's an option for Chrome-based browsers. as well.)
Now, some of you might be wondering...

What is RSS?

RSS, or "RDF Site Summary" (Really Simple Syndication), is a feed. You can add this feed to any application that supports it (Pale Moon, Basilisk, Thunderbird, Epyrus, many browser extensions, etc), and that application will allow you to check updates without visiting the site! In essence, it lets you curate a feed from multiple websites, not unlike this.

Why RSS?

Think of it like this:
You read the news (I know, ew, but bear with me), in order to not only be spoonfed some braindead opinion from some idiot who's more interested in pushing an agenda than actually telling you real information, you visit multiple websites. Now, going between dozens of websites is tedious, and just kinda boring.
RSS gives you a tool, called an "Aggregator", that fetches data from these websites for you. All you have to do is subscribe to a website you want updates from.
Then, it's as simple as checking your feed. You can see who sent the post, what the post is about, and so on. If you're interested, you can click on the link to read more! And if not, you can safely ignore it.

RSS is a tool for your convenience

RSS comes from a time when it was normal to visit multiple web pages, when "browsing the web" was a real thing people did. It exists to make keeping up easier. Think of it like notifications from websites, but less annoying, and stored somewhere you can check them every few days if you want.

But why bother? RSS is so old school!

Because RSS is still the best at what it does! And now, if you want, you can add this blog to your RSS feed too!
