A summary of events

I've been having a lot of people asking a lot of questions, or pointing things out.
For instance, in my YouTube videos, I've started a lot of subplots that have never been resolved.
Several months ago, I promised PC-98 streams (I have a PC-9821 Xa7 that I've been "repairing").
Let me clear the air for you...

A preface before the details

A large portion of this is related to politics. I am not, nor will I ever be, trying to convince you (the reader) to feel one way or another on political topics.
I know a lot of creators abuse their position and standing to push their political agendas, that is not me. I make these videos, and do what I do, because I want to make a positive difference in people's lives. I feel that polarizing topics like this only create more hate and drama, but unfortunately it's just not possible to avoid in many cases...

I will never tell you what you should think, I am merely stating facts.

First, the PC-98.

Back in May of 2025 (damn, coming close to a year already), I had acquired a PC-9821 Xa7. My intention was to stream with it, play PC-98 games (including the Touhou games) on stream for you all.
I put a lot of effort into it, even having made my own keyboard emulator (or USB keyboard adapter ig) entirely from scratch. Unfortunately, there were some parts I needed, that I didn't have the funding for at the time, such as a scan converter so that the PC-98's video out could actually be visible to a capture card, or be displayed on any modern monitor.
I asked you all for funding for it via Buy Me A Coffee, promising that I'd be doing said streams eventually, and I never had.
There is something I need to admit. I had been working on my keyboard emulator all the way into July, which you all know, as I was fairly actively posting updates about it (to the dismay of many).
When I had completed it, and started using the PC-98, I found that the sound card (PC-9801-86) is not functional. For a long time, I've needed parts and additional components to get audio out working correctly. Unfortunately, around that time, President Trump signed an executive order titled "Termination of De Minimis Treatment for All Countries." For several months, this made it economically very challenging to get new parts from Japan. Ultimately, I chose to postpone the PC-98 project. I should have been more transparent about this, and I deeply apologize to anyone whom I might have harmed. I do intend to get it back up eventually, I actually did get most of what I need, but I still need a few more components to get it all working. Hopefully, we'll have PC-98 streams one day!

Second, the dropped subplots.

I had started a lot of subplots, such as Mima and Pachi with PC-98 parts, the Void Reimu arc, etc.
Originally, I had planned to use some other props from Japan for the latter, and the former I already explained. These were stopped by the same De Minimis termination, which pinned me in an awkward position of having to stretch out the arc while waiting for any chance of getting what I needed (I will not reveal it as I plan to reuse these ideas when they become more feasible).
Eventually, I read the room, I realized people were tired of Void Reimu, so I ended it.
As for the PC-98 thing, well, you know already I think...
I never forgot these, I still want to work on them, I'm just not in a position to at this time...
I understand if some of you may be very disappointed, and I regret the way things turned out. I apologize for this as well.

Merlin

On my Discord, I've had a fairly active team of moderators, but probably the most well-known of them were the Prismriver Mods. They'd been around the community since the very beginning, even before I had 100 subscribers...
A few months ago, that fell apart, as some tensions between a few staff members started to grow, and I became increasingly involved.
At one point, Merlin had snapped on me (To be honest, I don't remember what it was for, as it had happened a few times), and I felt like it was becoming a huge issue. I had created a group chat with several other moderators to discuss ways that we could deal with these tensions, as I didn't want to have to resort to removing Merlin. I viewed her as a friend, and wanted any other solution possible.
Unfortunately, someone had brought up the group chat somewhere, and Merlin had caught wind of it.
Merlin had assumed the worst, but given the nature of the situation, I don't blame her for it. Had I had an opportunity to do that whole ordeal over again, I would definitely just had been more up front with her. This was completely on me, and I take full responsibility. I have learned quite a lot from this event in particular, and I still regret what I did. I'm sorry Merlin, I should've been better.

Everything else...

For a few weeks now, I have been scheduled mandatory overtime at my job, which has meant that I have had much less time to work on videos, to engage with the community, and to deal with various other issues. It has greatly impacted my mental health, I've been feeling empty, burnt out, and unfulfilled.
This past year has been very stressful for me, and my employer seems dead-set on making it even worse.
There is a silver lining, at least. Once that all finishes, it should be done for a while. And assuming nothing else happens, I should recover, and everything will be fine!

Sorry for the giant wall of text, just had to get this off my chest... I felt you needed to know. Thank you for being here, means a lot to me. I know I'm not the best, and I probably don't deserve to be where I'm at now, but it really does mean a lot to me that so many of you enjoy the content I make, or enjoy my insane ramblings about dumb stuff like WDDM or Electron in the Discord (Root/Stoat?).
Thank you all.
